What was your most successful project? My most successful project this semester was my drawing of two youtubers in a polaroid picture. I believe it was successful because I managed to capture their personalities in my own style. I was proud that I had come up with the idea before anyone else on the Internet, and that I actually liked something that I had made. If you could do one project over again, what would you do the second time around? What changes would you make and why? I would change my submission art for the "Teens Inspired" Contest. It was supposed to be inspired by Monet's "The Cliff, Etretat, Sunset". It was going to be a simple drawing; abstract, nothing too crazy. And then... I added scribbles into the background. Big mistake. It took away from the inital image, and made everything messy. Now it's ugly and I hate it. Gross. I would take away the background and leave everything blank. Clean and simple. (It would stil be crappy anyway) Compare and contrast two different projects. Show similarities or differences between the two. The first piece is my original character sketch. The second is my drawing of two youtubers in a polaroid. Similarities: - Messy, thin lines - Can clearly tell it's drawn by the same artist - Black and white, no color whatsoever Differences: First piece: crudely drawn, more of a doodle than a drawing Second piece: carefully drawn, steadier hand when drawn, not a doodle What artistic behaviors have you seen or done that would make an interesting new unit? Describe your idea.
- Drawing with only pen. No pencils alllowed. Pens for sketching, for drawing, for filling in spaces. Everything. Pens. - Not taking your pen off the paper at any time. Constantly "drawing".

alrighty so the theme is winter holiday....
it brings joy, and as you can see, the character is extremely excited to celebrate the holidays :))))))))) here is a post-modern project thing
it's a bouquet of lightbulbs it didn't come out as expected but that's fine. i used wires as stems to support the lightbulbs and tie it all together. :) perspective project.... yay!
(note sarcasm) alrighty. i decided to use the three-point perspective for this assignment. i don't really like it. but here ya go! it's not bad for my first try tbh Here we have my "Teen's Inspired" piece. Whooo. It is based off of Claude Monet's "The Cliff, Etretat, Sunset". I used markers, a pencil, and a ruler to create this. i hate this piece so much. wow. i should have just left it with a white background. Regret. anyway, on to the measurements!!!!!! length: 12 inches width: 8 inches coolio
ok serious time "How I was inspired..." Monet is a magnificent artist, and I have always appreciated his work. When I came across this piece, I took notice in the use of light strokes, and pastel pigments. I am always looking at life in abstract, finding it easier to come up with ideas to share my style or work. I immediately thought of making something that resembled it, and use vivid colors and adjacent angles instead. The structures of the piece are obviously made to represent the abstract version of Monet’s cliff. The patterns on the said structures, are of my own style. The scribbles in the background were a bit rushed and thrown onto the paper. I wanted to incorporate the original somehow, and in retrospect, I should have used something softer than a sharp tip of a marker. However, I used light grey, pink, and yellow to bring in the paints used by Monet. I also added blue and purple to add a more Monet-ish touch to it. I regret this decision, but what’s done is done. I'll just have to accept it as it is. Meet my first OC.
(If you're wondering what an OC is, it stands for Original Character) His name is Thomas, and he currently doesn't have a backstory. Cool. He's just a scribble, but I kind of like the style I drew him in. I don't know why I chose to name him Thomas. It just fit him, I guess. Check him out! I was procrastinating in first period the other day, and I started doodling on some orange post it notes. They're pretty crap, but at least they're not as messy this time...?
It's October, aka Spoopy Month. They're either classic monsters, or completely new ones. Enjoy! P.S. My favorite is the middle pic! I apparently have to publish my crappy artwork onto the Internet for a grade! Great. Do you know how many people could just save it, and then use it as theirs? Yeah, it's crappy, and they probably won't, but it's still a possibility. I don't want that. If I do choose to post a picture of my art, I'd rather it be my best. Not my messy scribbles. But anyway, here is a picture I drew of my favorite characters. I came up with the idea when I was scrolling through some old Instagram photos.
