What was your most successful project? My most successful project this semester was my drawing of two youtubers in a polaroid picture. I believe it was successful because I managed to capture their personalities in my own style. I was proud that I had come up with the idea before anyone else on the Internet, and that I actually liked something that I had made. If you could do one project over again, what would you do the second time around? What changes would you make and why? I would change my submission art for the "Teens Inspired" Contest. It was supposed to be inspired by Monet's "The Cliff, Etretat, Sunset". It was going to be a simple drawing; abstract, nothing too crazy. And then... I added scribbles into the background. Big mistake. It took away from the inital image, and made everything messy. Now it's ugly and I hate it. Gross. I would take away the background and leave everything blank. Clean and simple. (It would stil be crappy anyway) Compare and contrast two different projects. Show similarities or differences between the two. The first piece is my original character sketch. The second is my drawing of two youtubers in a polaroid. Similarities: - Messy, thin lines - Can clearly tell it's drawn by the same artist - Black and white, no color whatsoever Differences: First piece: crudely drawn, more of a doodle than a drawing Second piece: carefully drawn, steadier hand when drawn, not a doodle What artistic behaviors have you seen or done that would make an interesting new unit? Describe your idea.
- Drawing with only pen. No pencils alllowed. Pens for sketching, for drawing, for filling in spaces. Everything. Pens. - Not taking your pen off the paper at any time. Constantly "drawing".
